What kind of after-reactions can one expect?

In some cases, there may be a small amount of bleeding in the injection site, and this can give a small hematoma. Apart from this, bleeding rarely occurs, but if it does the hematoma will last for 1-2 weeks. You might experience swelling that lasts for up to a week, due to the inflammation reaction that might occur, and which is a very individual reaction. You may experience slight stinging pain a few weeks after the treatment, as there are hooks on the Nordyx threads, and they can sometimes come close to the tissue / nerve and hurt. This is not dangerous and goes away on its own in most cases. If you basically have a lot of excess skin, then the skin can fold upwards in the direction we lift as we cannot remove loose skin. This can take several weeks before it has resolved and tightened up again. In some cases, for very loose skin, we recommend surgical lift, and not thread lift due to the fact that we only can move and lift the skin to another area, and we cannot remove anything.

On rare occasions, there can occur an infection, due to impaired immune reaction, slow facial blood circulation or that the fingers are being used in the area at the insertion points of the threads. Therefore we, in most cases, work with sterile instruments and gloves to make sure we don’t infect this area. And therefore the aftercare procedures are very important to follow, so that you don’t pick on the insertion points with your fingers or remove the plaster that needs to protect the insertion points for 3 days.
